What Channel Is CMT On Xfinity?

The CMT Channel is on a different channel on Xfinity depending on which city you live in. For example, CMT is on channel 145 in Miami but on Channel 61 in Seattle.

This makes life difficult if you just want to watch some country music videos and haven’t memorized which channel CMT is on your Comcast subscription.

CMT Xfinity Channels For CA/UT/MN

Californian Xfinity customers can watch CMT on Channel 778 and CMT Music on Channel 471.

Besides 778, you can also go to Channel 45 in Fresno, 74 in Oakland, 72 in Sacramento, and 75 in San Jose.

Trying to watch CMT in Utah?  Your options are channels 31 and 729.  For CMT Music, the right channel is Channel 471.

You also have the option to watch CMT on Channel 1608 in Salt Lake City and 1619 for CMT Music in that city as well.

It’s also simple to find the right channel for CMT in Minnesota – it’s just channels 146 and 855.

What’s The Right Channel On The East Coast

You can watch CMT on Xfinity on channels 145 and 146 in the cities of Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Detroit, Washington DC, and Baltimore.

In addition to 145 and 146, CMT is also on 1407 in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Detroit, and 883 in DC and Baltimore.

The CMT Channel is on channels 145 and 746 in Florida for Comcast subscribers. 

There’s also the option to watch on Channel 146 in Jacksonville and Miami, 75 in Fort Lauderdale, 79 in Orlando, and 37 in Tallahassee.

To watch in Washington or Oregon, tap 61 on your remote.  You can also choose to watch on Channel 686 in Seattle, Spokane, and Tacoma in Washington and on Channel 761 in Oregon.

Unfortunately, CMT Music is not available in Oregon.  But if you’re in Washington state, you can surf to 471 to watch some country music videos.

Other Places To Watch

It’s a bit confusing to find the CMT for Comcast customers in Colorado.  It’s on 835 in Denver and Boulder and on 1608 in Colorado Sprints and Boulder.

There’s also an option to watch on channels 65 and 795 in Colorado Springs.

For CMT Music, you can watch on Channel 1619 in Boulder and Colorado Sprint and 471 in Denver and Boulder.

Kind of annoying.

There’s a number of major US cities where there are a lot of Xfinity customers where you can watch CMT but there’s not much logic to how the channels are laid out.
