Games Exclusive To the NFL Network
Dish customers can watch the NFL Network Channel on Channel 154.
It’s in the little alley of sports channels on Dish from Channel 140-158. Other shows in this area include ESPN, the MLB Network, and the CBS Sports Network.
The NFL Network has the rights and shows all 65 preseason games in August. Not all the games are live and for home market games, it’s usually going to be blacked out and aired on a local station.
Most people watch the NFL Network to watch football games and specifically the exclusive games on the channel.
This year, there’s 5 exclusive games for the football games that are played internationally.
They are the following:
- Jaguars vs Bills Week 5
- Ravens vs Titans Week 6
- Dolphins vs Chiefs Week 9
- Colts vs Patriots Week 10
- Patriots vs Broncos Week 16
You can still go to the NFL Network to watch NFL games besides these 5 games but the remainder of the games also air on broadcast and other sports channels.
NFL Channel Studio Shows
There’s more to the NFL Network than just games. It also has a strong lineup of commentaries and documentaries.
The major shows are Good Morning Football and NFL Gameday.
Good Morning Football is available during weekdays from 7-10 am and at 10 am Eastern Time.
NFL Gameday has 3 components – Morning, Live, and Highlights. It’s basically the entire day Sunday.
Other shows include NFL Fantasy Live, A Football Life, NFL Total Access, and NFL Now.
NFL Redzone Schedule
The NFL RedZone Channel on Dish Network is on Channel 155.
It’s right above the main NFL Network Channel. It’s a game-day show and airs during the regular season on Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM Pacific.
It shows highlights of all the games airing that day and the commentator is Scott Hanson.
One thing that’s nice is that it’s commercial-free and shows every touchdown which is helpful if you’re playing fantasy football or if you’re gambling.
During the offseason and during periods when there’s no games, there’s just local programming on the channel.
It’s going to be mostly infomercials so if you’re looking for that kind of programming just stay on the channel.
The channel has proven so popular that MLB copied the RedZone format and has its own gameday show called the MLB Strike Zone.
