It can be difficult to find the right CBS channel number.

For most service providers, CBS is on different channel numbers depending on where you live.  There’s no easy guide to see what channel CBS is in your city.

Until now – we’ve done research for the major cable and satellite providers to find out where CBS is in the biggest cities where they operate.

Take a look below to find out where CBS is where you live.

One of the best ways to watch CBS is to sign up for Paramount+.

With Paramount+, you can watch CBS and CBS Sports live and all of the episodes of hit CBS shows like FBI and NCIS.

There’s even original content that’s only available on Paramount+ like Star Trek Picard and Yellowstone 1883.

DirecTV CBS Channel

You can watch the CBS Channel on DirecTV on channels 390 and 391.

There’s lowered numbered channels where CBS will be on but each of these channels is different depending on which city you live in.

It’s a legacy from when TV just started when channels were broadcast over the airwaves and you had to add foil to your bunny ears and shake them to get a signal.

We’ve done the research and found you all the channels you can watch CBS on DIRECTV below.

What Channel is CBS On Dish Network

It’s a lot harder to find the right channel for CBS on Dish Network compared to Directv.

That’s because Dish doesn’t have a farther-out channel that’s standard for CBS.  For the rest of the channels besides the broadcast channels on Dish, that’s the case.

Another thing that makes it harder is that there’s usually only one channel where you can find CBS.

Thankfully, it’s usually one of the first channels on your TV guide.  There’s some benefits to starting your channel first.

Below, check out where you can find CBS on Dish Network.  We looked at the biggest cities to find out where the channel is currently located.

CBS Channel Number On Spectrum

CBS is on a different channel number on Spectrum depending on where you live.

For example, it’s on Channel 2 in Los Angeles but on Channel 8 in San Diego.

One thing that makes it even more confusing is that there’s sometimes multiple channels where you can watch CBS.

The situation on Spectrum is more complicated because Spectrum is the product of a bunch of mergers over the decades.

They haven’t created a good channel guide for CBS and the other channels that they have so we did it for them.

Xfinity CBS Channel

There’s usually at least 2 channels where you can watch CBS on Xfinity/Comcast.

The first channel is usually a lowered numbered one and the second channel is usually farther out – in the 700-1000 range.

What’s the reason for having two channels?  One is HD and one is SD if you’re on an older TV connection.

These channels are often the same if you live in close cities but that doesn’t mean that the channel numbers will be different in Miami vs Orlando.

Like the other satellite and cable providers, the first channel where you can find CBS will usually be a lowered number one.

CBS is still one of the most watched and important channels so it’s never lost its place as one of the first channels on the TV guide.

As with the others, we’ve put the list of channels for CBS on Xfinity below for you.

Lower Your TV Bill With BillSmart!

We love CBS – they have great games and great shows like FBI and Young Sheldon.

However, they are a big part of the reason why our cable bills get higher every year.  They keep on asking for more and more broadcast fees.

It’s made a lot of people cancel their cable subscriptions.

If you don’t watch too much TV or you’re a CBS megafan, think about signing up for Paramount+.

It’s only $5.99 a month and it gives you access to all of CBS and Paramount’s content.

You can try it for free for 7 days by clicking the link below.
