Xfinity Promotions For Existing Customers

The best promotion for existing Xfinity customers is to get your current plan at a cheaper price.

Many times, the plan you are on now will be cheaper. That’s because new cable companies might have entered the market and Comcast is fighting to maintain their subscriber count.

It’s also possible that you’ve been with Xfinity for many years and the price to deliver cable was higher when you first signed up.

To get a lower Xfinity bill, you need to call Comcast customer support at 1-(800)-934-6489.

Tell them that you’re looking for ways to save money on your bill and ask what they can do for you.

It’s especially helpful to say that you’re thinking of moving to other service providers. Mention a provider and a monthly price, so they know what to benchmark against.

Don’t be embarrassed about asking for a lower Comcast bill.  Except for technical support questions, it’s the most common reason to call these cable companies.

There’s a wide range of promotions that Xfinity can come back to you with.  The lowest promotions are $10 a month but we’ve seen $72 a month promotions for very old plans.

These promotions should last 12 months to 48 months.

You can accept this first promotion if you want. However if you want the best deal, you’re going to need to put a bit more work in.

Xfinity Packages For Existing Customers

One of the most common Xfinity packages that can save money is agreeing to a 1-year contract.

Comcast values contracted revenue more than if you’re month to month.  You can save at least $10 a month and often you’re able to lock in that discount for 2 years.

However, if you cancel your account, you’ll incur an early termination fee from Comcast. That’s $10 a month for the remaining months of your term.

You can usually get these termination fees waived if you’re canceling Xfinity for a good reason. It’s helpful to be able to accept a contract to save money.

You can also check if you’re eligible for an affinity group discount – like Comcast discounts for veterans and active service members.

Threatening To Cancel To Get A Better Xfinity Deal

The final step to ensure that you’re getting the best deal on Comcast is to ask them for their best and final offer.

You do this by asking to cancel and getting transferred to the Xfinity loyalty department.

At this department, you can explain the discounts that have been offered and that you’re still thinking of leaving.

When you’re with the retention team, they’re willing to give you better discounts because you’re no longer a complaining customer but one that’s thinking of leaving. 

They’ll put on the theater of them trying to look real hard for a deal to save you money. Somehow, they’ll find a way to cut another $15-$30 a month off your monthly bill.

It’s the same dance that you’ll find at the used car dealership.

Overall, you need some persistence to get the best deal on Xfinity.

Their plans change weekly so there’s a good chance that you could get a better deal if you call a month for now.

The best rule of thumb is to call every 3-4 months to see if there are ways to save.  Worst-case scenario, Xfinity gives you a $20 one-time credit to keep you happy.

You can also consider using a bill negotiation service that will automatically renegotiate your bill and get you savings when Xfinity releases new deals in your area.

There’s a benefit in having someone do it for you rather than taking the brain damage and doing it yourself.

Xfinity Mobile Deals For Existing Customers

The current deals for Xfinity mobile for existing customers are $30 a line for an unlimited plan per month and $15 a month for 1GB of data.

This is a lot cheaper than the big carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile where plans are $45 a month.

To sign up for these deals, you need to be an existing customer of Xfinity.

Comcast offers these deals because they think that if you have cable and mobile phone service with them, you’re more likely to stick with them.

That’s why they only offer these deals if you’re an existing customer.

Otherwise, they’ll let you sign up a la carte, but you’ll have to pay Xfinity $25 a line extra, which puts their pricing above the major phone carriers.

Be careful about Xfinity Mobile deals.  We’ve seen a number of situations where Xfinity did not end up reimbursing the early termination fees for customers who moved to Xfinity Mobile.

Check to make sure that your current phones are compatible with the Xfinity Mobile network.  That’s another nasty surprise that new Xfinity Mobile customers are experiencing.
